HORSE DONATION PROGRAM

We are seeking a few special horses to join our therapeutic riding program. We are looking for horses with the heart, temperament, and ability to make a lasting impact. Ideal candidates are 10–18 years old, at least 14 hands, and sound at the walk, trot, and canter. The horse should be beginner-safe, yet suitable for independent riders, calm under saddle, and polite in hand. A successful therapy horse is steady and confident, unfazed by wheelchairs, play balls, loud voices, or other unusual sights and sounds, and gets along well with herd mates. Horses should be on normal maintenance and comfortable working in a structured program environment.

A 30–60 day trial period is appreciated to ensure the best fit for both the horse and our riders, allowing everyone to succeed in this rewarding and life-changing role.
