Welcome Students
Prospective riders are asked to visit a class and meet the program director before enrolling. Following this initial assessment, students are placed in a class of only five riders and our instructors develop activities to meet the needs of the individuals in that particular class. In class, core muscles of the rider are exercised and circulation is stimulated. Games encourage movement and socialization.
Hope on Horseback maintains a herd of 8-10 carefully selected and trained therapy horses. Many of our horses are still owned by others and loaned to us for service in our program, providing their strength, and sharing their calm, empathetic spirits with both our riders and volunteers.
